News from Drake’s School
Lots has been happening in school since our last article:-
- In conjunction with the village, the school achieved two nominations in the national Britain in Bloom discretionary awards …………..”Well done”, children and a huge “Thank you” to Beryl and John Maynard for their support in the school’s gardening exploits.
- Alongside more formal and traditional elements of the curriculum, the Upper Years children have been experiencing exciting one-off activities such as shelter-building on Haldon and a “Wild Night Out” overnight camp at Killerton.
- Throughout October, we welcomed many visitors into school who were either contributing to Book Week or talking to the children about the challenges and rewards of their jobs!
The half-term holiday is for the week beginning 27th October, after which you might like to join us for the folllowing events:-
